A beautiful chessboard made from the finest hardwoods. I paired black walnut and curly maple for the squares and encased the squares with mahogany. The squares are 2 and a quarter inches and will accommodate up to 4 and a half inch game pieces. The board measures 21 and 3 quarter inches overall with the playing surface at 18 and 3 quarter inches and sits 2 and a half inches tall. The board is finished in satin lacquer and wet sanded. The board weighs 15 pounds.Game pieces are not included.
