An original design with a ton of character. I chose a book match for the front and top and used the sapwood on the edge. I wanted the box to mimic a slice of a tree where sapwood would be on the edges of the milled lumber. I used some black lacquer on the sides to tie in the ebony strip used on top. The box measures 11 and a half inches tall x 8 and 3 quarter inches wide x 6 and a half inches deep and weighs 5 pounds.
