A big box with extra storage capability. I used blue dye on the quilted maple front and back and then removed the dye from the high spots creating a tye dyed effect. This blue effect works amazingly well with the buckeye burl. I chose bluer pieces of buckeye burl for this project and the results are very cool. It makes the the whole front look like its all buckeye burl.Im going to be doing more dyed projects in the future because of how this box turned out. I chose satin lacquer for the finish and wet sanded and polished to perfection. The surface is smooth to the touch and has a top notch sheen. The box measures 9 and a half inches tall x 10 and a quarter inches wide x 5 inches deep.

I've always wanted a "jewelry box" for a guy. This is awesome! I really don't have any jewelry but I do have EDC items that need storage. This has plenty of storage, is fantastic looking, has heft, and is, well, manly looking. Thanks Joseph, Steve
