A gorgeous tak box set that features incredible craftsmanship and quality hardwoods. Ziricote is a dark hardwood from Mexico and Central America that amazingly figured. The wood is only available in small pieces as the tree doesn't grow very big. The figure is striking and can have lighter streaks resembling sapwood throughout. I paired it with birdseye maple and the results couldn't be better. I used walnut for the circles and ebony for the inlays. The box is lighter maple as i wanted contrast between the box and board. I finished the set in semi gloss lacquer and wet sanded for a smooth surface.
