This is an interesting piece with a lot of character. I used a piece of grafted walnut with a crack to create this piece. The crack was filled with resin to highlight the flaw. This box will need an owner who appreciates just how special it really is. Anyone can adopt a cute little puppy but who is willing to take in an aging dog with a limp? The walnut used here is really beautiful and is finished to perfection. This box incorporates the crack into its personality and the graft is subtle. The box measures 10 and a quarter inches tall x 7 and a half inches wide x 5 inches deep. I finished the box with enamel. The drawers are felted on the bottom and sides.
