Lots of ingredients come together to make this shop original. I used purple heart and veneered mappa burl on the drawer fronts creating contrast and highlighting craftsmanship. I set the box on a pedestal of maple for a slight variation on this model. This box really pops and draws the eye. The box is rounded over on all of its edges including the drawers adding some dimension and depth.I finished the box with 4 coats of gloss polyurethane sanding between coats to achieve a flawless topcoat. The drawers are double flocked and are extra lush and are very capable for storing jewelry or trinkets. The box measures 12 and a half inches tall x 6 and a quarter inches wide x 5 and an 8th inches deep. The maple base is 7 and a quarter inches wide x 5 and 5 8th inches deep.
