Tak board with box and game pieces

I made the board from black walnut, maple,and ebony and the diamonds are padauk and acrylic. The box is black walnut ,maple, and ebony and the game pieces are black walnut and maple. I inlayed ebony between the squares for dramatic effect and to showcase some craftsmanship and gently rounded over the outer edge of the board and used some ebony on the corners to act as a keystone. I use a keystone to help keep the board stationary while adding an extra visual element. The board is an absolute work of art and requires time and skill to achieve these results. For the box i used the same keystone effect with ebony while adding splines to keep the box intact for generations.I used traditional game pieces and the capstones are my personal design. I finished the set with 4 coats of gloss polyurethane sanding between coats to achieve the perfect finish. The boards under side is felted and so is the inside of the box to avoid scratching. The board measures 9 and 7 eighth inches square and is 3 quarter inches thick. The box measures 11 and a half inches square and the storage area is 9 x 9 inches square. The board squares are 1 and a half inches and the diamonds are half inch. This board is heirloom quality and will last generations. This is a 6 ring board that comes with 60 game pieces and 2 capstones. This tak box set is made with permission of cheap ass games and all licensing fees have been paid.
