A wide array of hardwoods come together in this shop original creating stunning contrasts and exquisite beauty. The canary wood featured on the front and back boards of this box are loaded with figure and are complimented well by the poplar ,cherry ,and particle board. My last couple boxes including this one are the start of a trend in my shop to make bigger bandsaw boxes. As far as bandsaw boxes go this one is a little bigger than most. The box measures 11 and a quarter inches wide x 7 inches tall x 5 and a quarter inches deep. I finished the box with a combination of brushed and spray satin polyurethane for a smooth and durable finish.

So your read the description and you think "particle board?" "Why would I want that?" I guess you could say that is one of the concepts of these boxes , to try different things to make a unique piece. The wide range of woods from the particle board to the canary wood make a wonderful spectrum and real treat. If you give this as a gift the person lucky enough to receive one of Joe's boxes will think of you every time they look at it or touch it. It is not something you will see everyday. And look Ma, NO BATTERIES!
